Context: | The aim of the unit was to develop skills in creating procedural texts such as experiment posters. Firstly, the students themselves participated in experiments and worked on understanding the directions needed to conduct them. Secondly, they observed the posters’ text features and the language needed to communicate the steps in the experiment, focusing on the language features such as the use of imperative, action verbs and sequencing vocabulary. Thirdly, they were guided to create their own posters with the help of graphic organizers and vocabulary activities. |
